2024-2025 Basketball Registration is now CLOSED!

Information Summary
- CYO Basketball season for grades 3-8, girls and boys, is expected to begin in mid October and last through February.
- *NOTE:CYO Basketball season for high school is expected to begin in late September to avoid conflicts with the High School basketball leagues. High School players must register by September 4th!
- In general, teams practice one evening during the week, which will be designated once coaches have been assigned and calendars worked out.
- Games are played mostly on weekends in Sacred Heart gym and gyms at schools throughout Brooklyn and Queens.
- Players from grades 3-12 participate in competitive games against other schools.
- Players in the Sub Novice (3rd Grade) division do not keep score during the season.
- Players in Grades K-2 participate in a Saturday morning clinic to learn the basics of dribble, pass and shoot and become familiar with the game. Register for Clinic
Eligibility
- Players who live in Sacred Heart or St. Pancras Parish boundary.
- Players who attend Sacred Heart Catholic Academy.
- Players who are parish members of Sacred Heart or St. Pancras.
- Address used must be the address used for the school the child attends.
- Players who do not meet eligibility requirements must register with their home parish prior to registering to play.
- After registering with their home parish, players from the following parishes are permitted to register for Sacred Heart, IF AND ONLY IF their parish cannot field a team.
OL Hope – Ascension – OL Mercy – OL Queen of Martyrs – OL Angelus – Resurrection Ascension – St. Adalbert – St. Margaret
Failure to register with your home parish disqualifies a player from playing on waiver to Sacred Heart
CYO Athlete Registration Requirements
- ALL players registering for competitive CYO sports must register as an athlete with CYO.
- There is a $10 per player registration fee.

- CYO registration # is required to register with Sacred Heart.
- CYO registration is not required for the K-2nd grade clinics.
Payment
All registration fees are due at time of registration. Pay online via credit card or Paypal. No player will be permitted to practice or participate in any games until registration is paid. All new players must show their birth certificate at the time of registration. Proof of residence within the Sacred Heart boundaries must be presented at the time of registration. All parents may be required to attend an orientation meeting before the season begins. Team entry fees are due to C.Y.O. prior to the beginning of the season. Therefore, there will be NO REFUNDS once you are registered.
Any requirements for tryouts, assignment of A & B teams, coaches, practice times, etc are at the sole discretion and judgement of Sacred Heart Youth Program Athletic Directors.

There are many positions available, not just coaches! Please visit our volunteer page for more info. Some of our best volunteers are former parents and volunteers whose children no longer play and also grandparents who desire to contribute to a good cause and have an enjoyable time doing so. Please encourage the grandparents and former program participants you know to volunteer their skills, regardless of sports knowledge!.
